Regardless of the manufacturer, all Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) need regular maintenance to keep them operational:
The electrode pads need to be replaced on or before the manufacturer's date stamp;
The AED battery needs to be replaced when the unit indicates a 'low battery' symbol;
Periodic internal upgrades are required to keep your AED at the most current ECC protocol;
If applicable, the wall cabinet batteries need to be periodically replaced.

Pads purchased are usually delivered and installed into your device and the expired pads are properly recycled. AED Batteries are designed to be self-testing and long-lasting (typically 4-years). When the Battery reaches a low level, the AED unit displays a special symbol (and often an audible noise). It is usually best to have a spare battery on hand before this occurs. We can provide detailed directions for replacing the battery. There is never a shipping or delivery charge when AED Batteries are ordered through That AED Guy. We can supply AED Batteries for any AED unit.
